One Monthly Goal – April 2022
I didn’t finish my March OMG. I traveled to be with my Dad and extended family for the last week of Dad’s life. Sadly we had to place him in Hospice Care due to diabetic complications. Monday, April 4th, we had a wonderful celebration of his 95 years of life. 60 of which he lived as a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ. We laid his earthly body to rest next to my Mom who passed on 4 years earlier.
I saved a few flowers from one of the bouquets sent to the funeral. When I arrived home, added Daffodils blooming from my garden.
Strange, isn’t it, how life continues on uninterrupted all around us when a loved one passes on?
That said, on to my April OMG.
I do plan on finishing my March OMG, but for April I’m listing a top I want to finish for charity.
This is a panel called Geo Zoo. I cut apart the animal blocks and rearranged them. Then added a black border and then the wave coordinating print as the outer border. Not sure how I’ll quilt it.
Goal is to quilt and bind and donate.

Sharon I’m so sorry about your Dad. He looks like such a sweet man, and he sounds wonderful. At 95, it seems like a good long life, but it’s never long enough for us is it? My Mom lived to be 98, so I understand.

When My Dad died, I just wanted everything to stop, but the sun still rose, daily life had to continue. Your flowers, beautiful, and to be there, for those last days, you will always cherish that time.No matter how long a life is, we think it was not enough for those who grieve.
