To-Do Tuesday, November 7, 2023

Just a quick pop in to say grand babies are a wonderful addition to life. And I did very little quilting this week.

To-Do Tuesday, October 31, 2023

  1. Twilight Stars QAL Keep up with two blocks per week.
  2. Wednesday is our second meeting of the month of my church sewing group. Local hospital called asking if we would make drain pouches for surgery patients. That is something we did in the past, so sure, we will make them again.

1. Twilight Stars QAL

That’s all I did this week. Two blocks for the quilt along.

2. Church sewing group. While others worked on the pouches and turbans, I cut out fabric to make little seatbelt pillows for surgery patients. I’ll photo them once I have a few made.

I’ve been spending time snuggling with new twin grand babies. And helping out my daughter in her fall garden. Also doing whatever else she finds helpful – dishes, cooking. The days are flying by as I spend them with the littles.

Oh – Fun thing!

Daughter and I were talking about bread making. I shared I had read an article about bread found in the ashes of Pompeii and food historians had figured out the ingredients. One was Nigella seed, which I had never heard of. She said she grows Nigella flowers for the flower arrangements she sells. So we harvested the pods and have seed to try out the Pompeii sour dough bread! That will be sometime in the future. How cool that she new the seed and grows the flowers!

Today I’ll be shopping for my son and family as they spend time in NUCI with their two 10 day old babies. Praise God from Whom all Blessings Flow!
