Enjoying watching you go thru the ruler work! I think I need to lock myself in my room and just practice, practice, practice!
Iron is a four letter word! I can't see spending the $ on it when they just break. After MANY years of cursing, I am currently a big fan of the Chi iron. About $65 at Target, has LOTS of steam holes for the price (nothing else compares there) and a 30-minute auto shut-off which is a must for those of us who sew. (I also love Rowenta irons but they no longer make an iron without auto shut-off.). I've considered the Oliso but since a friend's makes an annoying squeak every time it goes up and down and frankly, I'm not convinced the thing won't break like the rest of them. If someone could prove it to me, I'd be in.

Your family trip looks like so much fun. I would stay at a cabin instead of camping but there was a time we would have camped! Glad you found a quilt shop and kept the family joke going - lol!
I used to have a Panasonic Cordless and absolutely loved it for the cordless part, but it didn't get hot enough. I ended up with an Oliso, which gets plenty hot, and I love the auto-lift on it, but I've never used the steam part. I do miss the cordless aspect.
Thank you for sharing with us at To Do Tuesday!
