Yay for Amazon saving the day! I've had that problem of running out of fabric a lot lately. Mainly because people see one bag made in a particular fabric, and then they want the same bag. Since I usually don't order more than 1 yard of fabric, I'm often frantically searching online for more fabric. And, more often than not, I can't get the fabric anymore! That Potions fabric I ended up ordering 6 yards of and have STILL run out! Crazy!

Love those blocks though, and I can't wait to see the top assembled! What a relief that you found more background fabric. Phew is right!

Your blocks are looking fabulous!

I run out of background fabric all the time because I just eyeball what I have on hand instead of actually measuring. (Where's the fun in that, LOL.) Usually, I just make do and make a few blocks with a different background and claim it's an intentional customization. :) However, if it's for a commission, then I behave myself and purchase more. So far, I've been pretty lucky finding what I need. (Knock on wood...)

Second comment. Are you using one of the special rulers for cutting? Or a template?

this is going to be a real beauty. A few years ago I ran out of a fabric for one of Cheryl's Mystery quilts. I had to abandon one colour way ,and start another. The blues I did manage to find were not as good as the original. Well done to get a match, and for it to arrive so fast.
