What are sand tarts? I've not heard of them before. My Grandpa was a pastry chef, and his fruit cake was to die for! I've tried others, and they aren't the same. And I don't have his recipe. :( I love this t-shirt quilt, and the gray sashing really does make it minimal. Red Rooster has nice fabrics, I didn't know they had solids. Have fun with your DIL. I made a fruitcake two years ago because Brad likes it. It was a huge fruitcake and he was the only one who ate it. I am going to check out your link for the fruitcakes.
