I don’t always label my smaller projects (although I’ve seen some neat ideas in tucking small labels into the binding). However, I do label my big ones. At a minimum, I have name, date and residency. I usually have a quilt name. I need to get better at adding an occasion.

I cannot give anything I make away without taking plenty of photos first – otherwise I don’t think I could part with it!

My first few quilts I didn’t make labels as I didn’t realize how important they were. But I make sure that I do add them now! I just finished embroidering a huge label (9.5″ square) for my daughter’s high school graduation quilt. I like to embroider it, and I find I need the extra space so that my words are legible. Since her quilt is queen size, I think that huge of a label will be ok. I have a harder time figuring out how to do labels for smaller quilts. I suppose I should just use a PIGMA pen and write on the label instead of embroidering!

I do make labels for my quilts. I have label software that is a really neat program although have not used recently, need to get better at this.

I do make labels for my quilts and take pictures before handing them off, but I don’t keep proper records of them. Maybe I should! Maybe I just haven’t made enough yet??? (I’m only at 8 finished.) That owl label is just adorable!

What a great list! And how fun a Bridal Shower! I hope you have a lot of fun and that your machine is back up aand running in no time.
