Good Ol’ Belly Laugh!

Wednesday, October 14th, 2009

Recent road trip to a park with lovely waterfalls.

Daughter needs to use a loo – you know, the ladies room, rest room, r n’ r, powder room, lavatory, commode, privy, outhouse.

We find a clean little two seater with running water and all.

Daughter emerged laughing saying we must be in a high security area   ….

Autism Speaks Quilt

Wednesday, October 7th, 2009

Wow! I just got word that  the quilt several of us made last fall brought in almost $2000 for the local Autism Speaks raffle!!! I had no idea!!! I will be contacting Lisa (who donated fabric) and Melanie (who helped with the piecing) to see if they want to do another quilt!  ~ I know Lisa does! She is the one who told me about the $2000!! Lisa owns and operates a local business that features items to help families affected by autism.

Two Ladies are Now Six

Monday, October 5th, 2009

This is the little wall hanging (21″ x 34″) that I stitched up for a friend. I don’t do the quilting, as she is a long-arm machine quilter. She is also a vendor at quilting shows in Northern Indiana – Country Quilting is the name of her booth. So if you are ever shopping at shows in NI you can look for her booth. She deals mostly in books, patterns, and kits.
